Preliminary Round 1 – Feb. 19 at 9:30 AM (check-in at 9:00 AM)
Preliminary Round 2 – Feb. 19 at 2:00 PM (check-in at 1:30 PM)
Preliminary Round 3 – Feb. 20 at 9:30 AM (check-in at 9:00 AM)
Quarterfinal Round – Feb. 20 at 3:30 PM (check-in at 3:00 PM)
CLE Credits:
2 skills credits per round (up to 6 credits total) Register for the NYS Ethics CLE Program exclusively for NELMCC judges on Feb. 20, 1:00–3:00 PM
No prior expertise or knowledge of environmental law is required!!

NELMCC is a unique moot court competition focusing on environmental law, involving over 50 teams from across the country. Judges play a crucial role in evaluating oral arguments and providing valuable feedback. The competition involves appellate brief writing and oral advocacy on real-world environmental law issues. It’s a chance to interact with and guide law students passionate about this field. Judges are expected to be courteous, offer constructive critique, and adhere to professional standards.
